Photographer’s Note
For Peter Wall ('phwall'): the Oly C8080 is still pretty hard to beat for low noise & sharpness, eh? Whenever I'm out on a 'low light' shoot, I always take my faithful Olympus & mount it on a tripod by itself, set it to 'Night shots' mode & delayed shutter release - and, hey presto!

Hi Jeff,
very nice image, the pastel tones in the sky created by sunrise/set and superb here, also the fat you have so many details in the darker areas.
well done

Hi Jeff.
Yes, those earlier digital cameras didn't suffer so much with noise, as they had a reasonable number of megapixels. This one is a beauty. Really sharp and I guess the colours are very natural. Great evening shot with your camera nicely positioned overlooking the lake so those twisted roots make a good foreground interest. Great work.

Andrew

Hi Jeff,
Beautiful shot capturing the ambience of sunset and how the setting sun dances upon mother earth providing us with another 'life spectacular' vision. Excellent colours and DOF. A nice clear, clean and consice shot.
Well done,
Cheers,
Graham.

Hello Jeff,
I think there was a little more to this than ust "hey presto"! You caught just the spot and the right, subtle moment -- I love the light behind the fringe of trees.

Mary

Wow, no kidding, Jeff,
that's a beauty. I love those soft colors and the detail is exquisite. The sky is just fabulous and especially so with it reflected on that glass calm water. I like the curves in the shoreline, too. This is a really lovely shot with a very nice moodiness to it. Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly

Hi Jeff,
So you really want to rub it in eh. That's it, I've had enough of that other piece of c**p, going to put it on Ebay and take up golf.
Lovely shot mate, the colour rendition is perfect along with the sharps.
You've certainly moved to a great part of town.

Jeff, this one has great crispness to it. I sort of had to look at it deeply to see that because the colors and lines are very mesmerizing. While your f-stop seems small for such a large scene I like that you have focused on the distance rather than the fg. The reflection being just a bit soft with the clouds being so crisp works very well (for me). Great stuff.
