Photographer’s Note

I wasn’t going to post this image, I thought I’d more than covered North Arm Cove with my last two posts.
Listening to the news today I was reminded what a violent world we live in, innocents being blown up in Pakistan, wars all over the planet, people being murdered, protests, and just now, news on the radio a sixteen year old girl was killed in a car accident, what a waste of a young life. I know this constant stress and worry affects all of us in one way or another.

I was just going through my recent shots, putting the North Arm Cove images to bed in their folder, looking at this again I was struck by how peaceful I felt when I took this shot.

At the time my wife and I were sitting on the little wharf featured in an earlier post, just us and the sounds of silence. We had a bottle of wine, a cheese plate, some crunchy bread, and this magnificent view. It was like a little slice of heaven, the sun was setting behind the hills, the water was mirror smooth and the wine was excellent. I don’t think we spoke for twenty minutes, we were happy to be here together, safe in each others company, oops, I forgot to mention the mosquito’s.

This is what I love about TE, we all get to share in each other’s little slice of heaven. Yesterday my good friend Lisa (delpeoples) posted a shot dedicated to a fellow member who was feeling a little blue, it was such a wonderful shot, peaceful yet invigorating, so many times I’ve looked at members wonderful images and felt completely energised by what is on the screen in front of me.

I hope you get the same sense of peace and tranquillity from this beautiful place as I did.
