Adelaide By Night, a photo from South Australia, Ouest

Photographer's Note

OK.. Here goes... ;) After the trials and tribulations of my last city night-scape in Sydney, I have done a lot of work trying to calibrate my monitors and profile the editors. I think this is better... (?) I have also had better luck working out the different exposure modes on the D70.

This is a shot by the river in Adelaide, South Australia's capital. The odd looking building on the left is the Performing Arts Centre. The river is a popular sight for tourist paddle boats.

As always, comments are very welcome. Its the only way I learn ;)

Well done, nice shot Chris! I like colours here and reflections on the water. I have an idea how to improve it a bit... Put your flash on a tripod behind that tree on a left side and remotely fire it towards it. I'm kidding a bit, but if this tree was better exposed this shot would be even better.
However, IMO this shot is better then a last one. Keep on doing night shots Chris! Regards

Good cropping, POV, sharpness & lighting. The only concern is the red blob behind the main light, which may be a bit of flare?

Beautiful night shot with a nice usage of the artificial lights. All these reflections on different materials give a good composition to this shot.

Good composition and colours, I like the flare on the street lamps in particular.
