Photographer’s Note
this is one of my early shots with a mamiya645. i cropped the image fairly tightly just toget the stone lantern and exclude all the sourrounding scenery of the japanese garden . Also i increased the colour temp significantly to give the peasant golden hue. the original image was rather cold and bleak as it was midwinter .I l;ike the Japanese gardens because i always find something different in there everytime i go and spend a little time contemplating. The image was scanned with Vuescan Software(something i can certainly recomend...) andit post processed in Picasa2. Simple and effective(not to mention cheap) programs
