This is a nice shot of this fine architecture. The building looks like it could have been in the American west. The angle of the shot is great giving the building a nice sense of depth. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

From the vignette I was thinking about Cairns, the style is similar and open with a tropical touch to benefit from the hot weather and offer a shelter when it rains, beautiful building and a well taken photo using the colors of the french flag ;-)

Hi Antonio.
Believe it or not I recognised this great old hotel instantly from the thumbnail! I've taken a few shots of it over the years, although none on TE. I might take another next week when I'm over there. I like the wide angle composition and the movement of the people in the shot. It's very striking under that deep blue sky. A good idea not to remove the lens distortion.

Lovely shot of this old hotel, reminds me so much of my very early childhood, my parents were Hoteliers for many years in country Australia, starting back in 1947.
The wide angle lens gives the hotel a striking look and that blue sky is wonderful.

O prédio fotografado é muito interessante e bonito, com uma cor quente e forte, com os todos aqueles detalhes brancos!
O ângulo utilizado foi muito bem escolhido, acrescentando-lhe beleza, principalmente com a composição que utilizou o lindo céu azul, com formações de nuvens bem atraentes, como contrastes de cores!

The building could have been taken from the set for a Western movie production, but then they both date back to the same period!

O "cheers" vem a que propósito? :-) Claro que uma saudação bem disposta como essa fica sempre bem em qq. lado, mas suspeito que haverá uma razão mais concreta que me escapa. Ou será porque causa de este ser o teu 200º post?

Parabéns, amigo! Cá fico à espera de mais umas 200, esperemos é que o site não berre de vez entretanto.
Mostras aqui um belo edifício victoriano de ar colonial. O PdV de frente para a esquina não podia ser melhor, aquele vermelho das paredes fica muito bem com o azul do céu e com os ferros pintados de branco. Tb. gosto de ver as pessoas, indo à sua vida, e das nuvens.

O WS tb. está muito bem e até está mais nítido, além de complementar a tua apresentação do edifício.

Eu sei falta o "o" assim como falta a torre no edificio reconstruido.A arquitectura é muito interessante e marca uma época. A perspectiva está boa e noto que a foto está bastante equilibrada e com boas cores.

Lovely colonial style building with lots of white detailing. History of European presence in Australia is young but there's reason to be proud of what is still left of the old architecture. Beautiful corner. And nice sky too.

some year before the Americas cup adventure when freemantle still was a very sleepy suburbian port.

You pushed the sky a lot, but still it looks natural and it brings great contrast to that building below in beautiful red and very nice handscraft on the second floor. Pov is classic, but every time it works, also here.

Hello Antonio! Great way and angle to present this fantastic building with the endless blue Aussie sky and I remember it very well but this was before TE but I might have some slides if I dig deeper. I have come over other similar architecture in Australia and I always liked the shade part when you can sit under the roof and have a litte beer or two and listen to music. Very good photo work, bringing back fantastic memories to me. Barbara.

Estão ambas fantásticas, António. Esta geral apetece mais, claro, mas o WS também está muito bom. Faz-me lembrar muito New Orleans. O céu está bonito, o ângulo é perfeito e gosto da dinâmica das pessoas que apanhaste. Claro que sou a favor de não corrigir a perspectiva. A arquitectura é espectacular.

Uma foto arquitetonica excelente. A lente utilizada foi perfeita para criar um efeito de amplitude, a utilizacao do filtro ajudou a resaltar este ceu magnifico. As poucas pessoas na rua dao a impressao de que a cidade e um lugar tranquilo onde o ritmo e lento e o tempo parece nao passar...
