Photographer’s Note
A later version of the previous shot, a different POV on the nugget and lighthouse, while the coastline in the bg goes on and on until it reaches its death in the Tasman Sea.
I think I miss a person for scaling here but you wouldn't get anyone at this time of evening for love nor money!!
x2 stop grad + polarizer used.

Hi Jim,
this POV and reflection and the soft and warm colours are really great. What is this on the left side on the rock? Stairs? Very well done, TFS
Kind regards and nice to meet you on TE, too.

Hi Jim,
this impression is even more beautiful than the previous one due to the fantastic light. I am glad you posted it. Excellent POV on the rock, now I know how to get up to the lighthouse! As already mentioned by Peter: brilliant photo work!

Hi Jim,
Glorious colours and an incredible view. You got there at just the right time. The cliffs disappearing into the distance help give the scale of the place.

Hello Jim,
This is an amazing landscape, both the cliff in front of course but also the coastline we see in the back!
Looks like the keeper of the lighthouse has some kind of lift at his disposal, otherwise it is quite a climb to carry the beer for barbeque nights...
A well balanced composition with wonderful colours!

Hi Jim, I think we can live without having anyone in the shot for scale, the building on top of the Nugget does the trick. That golden light is just amazing, as are the reflections. Everything is like crystal and I can see how expertly you've used the hard-edged filter. Not just a beautiful shot, it's something to learn from, thanks for sharing it, Lisa.

Hi Jim
I wonder which one, from Whatipu or the Golden Nugget, I prefer. The colors are fantastic and emphasized with the reflections. The warmth of the hues is very agreable, and the view on the lighthouse is more striking here than with the previous POV. So, my vote would probably go for this one, although both have qualities. Congratulations!

Hi Jim,
Wonderful scene. I really like this beautiful, evening light. The position of the lighthouse in the frame is just perfect and works very well for this sort of shot. Well done!

Hi Jim.
Amazing colour tones in this one - polarised I presume. And the sharpness of the detail is incredible without being overdone. Not sure what that Singh Ray thingy does, but it does it well! What a fantastic lighthouse. Your shot has a great sense of space about it, thanks to that diminishing line of cliffs all the way to the vanishing point. The luminosity is wonderful. Great work.

Andrew

Hi Jim,
Another really excellent shot, I actually think I like it better than the last, it really let us view the light on this rock with so much more details and the wet sand pattern still so well defined and so beuatiful with it's reflection. Great clarity, and the sharpness is spot on, composition also perfect. Just simply beautiful and breath taking. My complements.
