Photographer’s Note

Hi all.
This pear tree is in one of the fields down the road from our house. There must have been a farmhouse here at one stage because it’s an odd place for a lone pear tree. The tree is surrounded by triticale at the moment but in the immediate foreground there are weeds which add the dry summer colour. Triticale is a crop grown to make silage for winter feed, sort of a cross between barley and oats.

I took this pic from ground level, I’m going to have to start wearing overalls when I’m out taking photos as I spend so much time laying in the dirt with my camera ;-).

Taken as the last rays of the sun illuminated the tree for me. I love this old tree and have taken many photos of it over the last few years so I will post more from time to time.

Enjoy, Paul.

PS. The fruit from this tree is delicious but the stock seem to end up with most of it.
