Photographer’s Note
Hi all. This is the Rangitikei River about 20 KM’s north of the town of Bulls. The headwaters of this river are on the central plateau of NZ’s north island. As you can see it is generally a shallow river with lots or rapids spaced between deeper pools.
Good for trout and Jet Boats, the two can share the same resource. Unfortunately not all fishermen believe they can share the river with the Jetboaters!
Converted from RAW.
Paul.

Hi Paul
I like the reflected, silvery sheen, on the water surface. The tree branch at right nicely frames the scene, & the strip of green top left, adds color contrasts to the reflected blue skylight. Tfs!

Actually this has a nice simple pov and it shown the other interesting side of NZ, placed the tree on the right is a good idea, just suggest to get higher included the green on the top. Thanks for the shot Paul and have a great WE.

The reflection of the light from the river accentuates the overall picture. Very good light management you've accomplished here. Well done.

Very nice post, Paul. It makes me remind an unforgetable ride aboard Huka Jet at Taupo! Great time! I stayed for a short time in NZ, but I will never forget Huka Jet, White Island and Rotorua!
Its nice to see the curve of this river, with the nice textures on the water.
Take care!

Hello Paul,
An unusual composition from a very good point of view. I like all these silver reflections in the river and the nice curve it is drawing. I think I would have cut the field on the top of the image because I find this green band too disruptive for the eye?
Have a nice week-end.
Best regards, Christian

Hi Paul. I found the rivers in N.Z. beautiful to behold, particularly on the southern island. One could see the power of nature there in the width of these rivers and the boulders and stones brought to the valleys by the melting snow. There is beauty and purity in this shot with its interesting POV. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Paul,
Attractive POV with a rather graphical result with the meandering stream.
The green meadow on the left upper side gives the picture some extra colour.

Hi Paul,
Good treatment of the light in this capture, you have obtained a great graphical result for the sheens in the water of the river and the magnificent blue reflections of the sky.
It gives a great luminosity and a beautiful color to the image.
I like the setting, with the tree in FG and such a green field in BG.
Nice work, my friend.
Best regards from Barcelona,

Hello Paul,
This looks very much like the rivers around my area, so does the trout!
I like the shimmering effect from the backlight in the water, as it adds life to the waterway...
A well framed composition, with a fine sense of depth!

Paul, j'aime beaucoup le beau dessin fait par cette rivière d'argent en traversant le paysage. L'hiver est une belle saison pour purifier l'air et donner de la vivacité aux couleurs.
La lumière réfléchie par cette rivière est des plus pures.

Hi Paul,
Excellent POV, we can see a beautiful sky reflection on the river, giving it an amazing blue! The green field in the background is forming a remarkable contrast with the tree in the foreground, which gives an interesting visual effect.
Congratulations!

Hi Paul,
Often when motorized vehicles are introduced to the wild there is conflict with animals or other humans. This seem like a nice place to go fishing. As long as the water is shallow I can tolerate going inside the river. Nice point of view and light. Thanks.

Hi Paul,
I do like the way you framed the shining curve of the river against the green spring field. So how was the fishing? We've been enjoying fresh caught fish ourselves lately.

Hi Paul,
a nice view and appealing because of the light situation. I like the glancing water and partly blue from the sky on that excellent texture of motion. Fine bow with good depth.

Hi Paul, Well framed nature scene captured from a good high POV. But for it's the water and the reflected light that makes it stand out. A very pleasant view well captured.

nice presentation of the Rangitikei River, with this part of it to have little amounts of water. The trout fishing must be a nice experience for the fishermen in combination with the deeper pools of it.Well done.

Hi Paul,
Your choice of the 'S' curves is most pleasing as it gave that interesting visual movement. The trees to the right nicely prevented my eyes from going astray but to enjoy the exciting textural display. I also like the nice colours and good tonal qualities. Alluring shot!!
Regards and best wishes.
