Photographer's Note

Welcome to Bridal Vale Falls; nestled a short walk off of one of the side roads in surrounding Raglan. Easily accessible and magnificent these falls are well worth the visit. As you stroll along a seeming quiet stream one can easily be happy viewing the dense and diverse fauna. Almost surreally, you come out to a 55m cliff and realize that the unassuming stream along with you've been walking has become this beautiful cascading waterfall.
For this shot I chose to visit the falls just as the sun was setting behind the surrounding hills. This aloud me to open the shutter for a longer period of time gaining the wispy water marks. I used the spot meter on the rocks and the foliage beyond the shot to ensure exposure accuracy.
Post processing included: level, curves, resize, added border.
