Photographer’s Note

One of the many inlets that make up the Marlborough Sounds at sunrise. Captian Cook sailed these waterways and spent several months here working on his boat and collecting supplies. In the framing of the picture I used the dark outlines of the ridges and the foreground to give a framed,point of view. Luckily the clouds,sun and reflection came together. The outgoing tide gives the water two different textures; fresh water(smooth)and salt water(rough). Cheers
