Photographer's Note

The Fox Glacier on NZ's south island west coast, south of Hokitika, and not far from the slightly more popular Franz Josef Glacier. The feet of the glaciers can be reached by walking, and are only some hundreds of metres from the beach, although now retreating more quickly because of global warming.
This was taken in the middle of a typical NZ summer, on an overcast but warm day. The brown rocks in the foreground are not much enhanced - that is their natural colour.
