Hi all. I haven’t been anywhere special lately so I’ll post another shot from around here.
These are Pied Stilt (I think) and this shot is from the banks of the Rangitikei River as seen from the Te Araroa trail. (See previous posts for more on the Te Araroa trail)

Nobody says that you have to travel to photograph. Around your home there are plenty of photo opportunities, I guess. Indeed, the colors of your shot are very interesting, possibly because of your shot against the sun. The refection of the birds is fine and adds more life to your photograph. I like it , well done

An almost abstract depiction of nature..!
The two waterbirds are captured in their typical activity, namely picking food from the bottom... it is sometimes useful to have a long beak hehehe...
A special mood and an interesting composition!

Hello Paul,

Not easy to take waders in photograph unless having a good photo lens like here. The light gives a beautiful atmosphere and a light gilded back-light of the most beautiful effect I find. I like the waves in water caused by the displacement of these birds. Pretty collected moment, thank you Paul.

Hello Paul, beautiful shot, not only does it represent nature but you could have also added Decisive Moment, the second bird hitting the water with it's beak causing the circular ripples, fantastic & so is the light & of course the reflections. Nice & moody, at first it has an almost monochrome look about it, interesting & very effective.

The colours of the sky reflecting in the water creates a fine backdrop for the two birds. Like your focus on the first bird with a gradual bokeh as we move back. The circular ripples created by the bird definitely adds to the picture. Well done!
