Photographer’s Note
The Coromandel Peninsula is probably the most beautiful part of the North Island and would beat a few of the most popular parts of the
South Island. The Peninsula would be like the Ring of Kerry in Ireland, vista after vista and it changes all the time. Enjoy the view, I sure did.
The light, the Singh Ray and Polarizer only left me with dust spots to clean off the file. Colours are true like. Another view in the WS.

Hi Jim
Lovely lighting to emphasize the beauty of this image. I love all the green rolling hills and shrubs/trees. Great POV and DOF. This is quite fabulous.

Hi Jim,
What a sight, it is truly beautiful.
You've caught the light perfectly, I love the light and shadow on the hills, it is glorious.
Just a tiny point, for me, that small bit of red cloud in the top right, I'd have cloned that out, the reason being, the colour of the cloud doesn't match the rest of the cloud formation, so it looks out of place. Now if there was more of it, different story.
Nonetheless it is a magnificent image, congratulations.
Best wishes
Peter

Beautiful shot. Love that clouds and light between the shadow. Well composed landscape. I see you used Singh Ray filter. I'm thinking of getting one for myself but not sure which one yet ... maybe Singh Ray Vari-ND. TFS. Regards. Latiff.

Hi Jim.
I dragged my old Cokin Grad out of the cupboard last evening for a little photo shoot, first time on the Zeiss lens and probably the last, turned my Jpgs to mush.
I like this shot, wonderful spring colours under a great sky. Nice catch and thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hello Jim,
i do agree completely with you, more than this i think its more beautiful than the Ring of Kerry (i think even the Ring of Beara is nicer. I was totally exalted from the Coromandel Pen. You can see the beauty at your picture which is well composed and exposed. Fine work.
Have a nice week

Hello Jim,
The light plays so nicely with the landscape!
The intense green tells the story of th fertile land, and the fields contrast well withe the sea and blue sky...
A fine composition where the nice clouds add attention!

Hi Jim,
you really had a difficult task when you captured this landscape! But the result is very pleasant. The light is amazingly illuminating the rolling hills and the fresh colors of spring are very beautiful. My compliments!
Warm regards

Hi Jim.
Astounding light you have captured on the slopes, and there's that incredible cloud formation too. The colour has been well treated by the CPL. I have very fond memories of a short stay on the Coromandel Peninsula about 5 years ago, in January. It's a wonderful coastline, and the food is good too! You are right about the area - I'd as soon go back there as anywhere in the South Island. Thanks for this stunning reminder.

Andrew

Hello Jim
The best part of course is the wonderful play of light on the shallow valley, but the wispy clouds play their role as well! The red hue on the cloud to the right...is the colour more due to the filter? The composition, which IMHO may not have been the easiest allows our eyes to drift over the volcanic landscape onto the sea and the clouds beyond...another wonderful work Jim
Best,
Angshu

This is quite an impressive shot. The colors don't quite look real, but I'll believe you. This seems like a hikers paradise. Everything in this composition just seems to work - even the clouds highlight the shape of the land. Well done!
Sincerely,
Kate

Hi Jim,
Amazing place indeed. The landscape is so unusual it seems so soft and smooth, and the colors are great as well.
Your POV is fantastic and you were very lucky with the clouds.
It is really pleasure to look at,
