[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Pukeko behind a fence.

These birds, also known as New Zealand swamp hen, have feet that suit well on walking on wetlands.
And they also make their movement funny and sort of theatrical in human eyes.

very very niceshot, thanks.

Superb picture Kari, so funny and so well done, a great idea, all my compliments!!

have a nice weekend,
Fabio.

You made good use of the frame already there to frame the bird. Even before reading your note I noticed how big his feet are.

Good idea and beautiful colors Kari, the natural frame from the fence and the grass, and this strange animal are well balanced, compliments.
Ciao

Hi Kari,
Cool natural framing which is broken nicely by som grass. Thankfully the bird did not have even BIGGER feet - then thay would not fit into the frame!
Thanks,
Magnus

Great shot, Kari
That fence makes a brilliant frame to the almost comical bird, strutting his stuff on those ridiculously outsized feet. Still, I guess if I walked around on floating vegetation, I'd want to spread my weight around too.
Excellent shot.

Hallo Kari!
A wonderful framed photo in astonishing colours! Interesting and original! I Like it very much!
Greetings from Germany!
Frank

Hi Kari,
Lovely framing for this typical New Zealand bird. Excellent chosen POV. The blades in front give the picture something playful.

Hi Kari,
It's the first but not the last post that you show here at TE by my approaching Thunbails views. I discovered this one and also you in this TE Forest world sharing network device. So my attention to your work and vision approach and insight capture. The title fits all and the capture with this nice bird also fits all in a square frame. What I can see more in this wonderful clear and well taken picture.

The best to you and also my sharing words. Congratulations and a nicely done and creative post with high quality and composition.

Fernando

Hi Kari,
Excellent framing technique! :o)
I also like the way you've captured the bird with its foot in the air. It does look very funny the way it walks. An interesting shot as I'd never heard of this bird before!
Have a nice Sunday.
Brigitte

Hi, Kari!

Congratters!!! You made picture - champion! Fantastic frame from nature, not from photoshop... Colors are powerfull and ideally composed!

Regards,
Ivars.

Hi Kari.

At first, I though this is some remarkable frame by you, but when I opened it, I saw this is a real thing.
Very good idea for the framing and very nice capture of the funny bird.

Regards, Aleks

Very original idea Kari! I really like this picture, I had never seen such birds and the note is very informative too. Thanks! Tali

Hi Kari, it's a superb use of frame within frame and even the internal frame is being framed!, all this enhancing the funny bird so well caught in that peculiar movement. Amazing shot! Daniel

Hi Kari,
I recognise this one! It's a friend of mine! ;-) Just kidding.
I LOVE the way you've composed this pic, using the fence for a frame. I also like the colours and contrasts. This is really creative, imaginative photography, which is something I notice a lot in the pics you post. Well done!

Hugs,
Tony

Hi Kari,
I loved to read your intro.

This particulary shot captured automaticaly my attention, for the originality of the composition using this orange fence to frame the interesting bird, that stands out much better this way. The contrast of colours works perfectly and even the grass in foreground add interest to the picture. I also like the pose of the bird and its big 'foot' (dont't know the correct name in English) is impressive. Very well done and thanks a lot for sharing!
Friendly regards,
Ricardo

Hi Kari,
good idea and well captured. I like the effect of these leaves in front of the fence.
Regards,
Beijo

I just love the frame!!!! :-D

Excellent frame Kari - very natural!! The Pukeko looks nice and sharp, with super colours too. Good composition, thank you
Janice

Excellent composition! The framework formed by the barrier is very well seen! Bravo!

awesome shot with the built in frame! Great colouring of the brown/red fence and the green grass... shows off the blue of the Pukeko brilliantly

Hi Kari,
Fantastic idea to take the fence (I think) as a frame. Its looks very nice. Well done & thanks for sharing.
