Waipunga Falls

Waipunga Falls are near the Napier-Taupo road and well worth a stop.
Colours of that region were amazing. Volcanic plateau to east and south of Taupo is surprisingly dry and arid compared to everything else we saw on the North Island. Green canyon below the falls made a nice contrast with brownish bushland. |

Hi Kari.
As you told us, I like the water "breaking" the bushland.
A nice view. Well done!

Hello Kari -
This is a very nice postcard like image. It makes want to start planning a waterfall trek to the islands.
Thank you for sharing
John
Good shot of this waterfall Kari - the long view emphasises the height of the waterfall (and the hillside). Just a pity that someone put electricity pylons on top of the hill (they never consider TE members!).
Hi Kari, this works, its a good composition with good colour and detail, but I'd be tempted to try a square format without the sky and hydro lines, with just the water cascading down over the hill. I've raised a workshop just for a look see.
Thanks, John
