| This is a “must have” photo of Queenstown for every photographer who is visiting this amazing little town. Lake Wakatipu and a frame of rocky peaks of Remarkebles make this view unforgettable for everyone who has seen it at least once. The photo had been taken from an observation platform on a very top of one of mountains surrounded Queenstown. To get there you have to use “Sky Gondola” another city attraction no one should miss. Some say it is steepest wired trace in the world and I think this is not too far from the truth. With my “love” to heights of any kinds I thought it would be not an easy task to stay alive during our trip to the top, but surprisingly it was OK. And despite of any worries the view we from there was just breathtaking. And for some people who want satisfier their starvation after outdoor entertainment, there is very nice restaurant-buffet inside, along with souvenir shop. And us such your trip upstairs will not be wasted in any respect. |

A breathtaking view indeed - and landscape as well! Perhapps something in the foreground (person, plant, fence ...) would have given a better depth into this scenery, but nevertheless a wonderful picture. I like the many details one can detect here!

Hello Dmitri,
Great to see more photos from you! I have collectively spent a few hours on my visits up to this point. The weather is ever changing, so the scenery is not static. From here I can see my hotel I stayed at for a few days; it is the yellow and grey building to the left of the one with the green roof directly inward from the beach. The clarity in this shot is magnificent, brilliantly showing up the details of the Remarkables and other distant peaks. Amazing place!
