Hello Renier
Beautiful winters scene with excellent reflections and detail in the splitting ice. I love the snow topped mountains and cloud coverings, and the softness feel with the trees.
I supposed these lakes are a wonderful blue in the summer?

Hi Renier,

The sky, the mountains, the light on the forest, and the reflection are all spectacular ... in a way the light reminds of a Bierstadt painting. I am not sure I am fond of the positioning of the buoys in the frame .. but that is pretty picky .. wonderful image .. soft yet powerful nature .. very nice.

Beautiful Very presentation of this lovely winter scene.
I love how the snow capped mountains peaks meet at the misty blue sky all seen making a striking reflection in the frozen lake below.
Excellent subtle winter colors and fine sharpness to this breathtaking scene.

Hello Renier,
A fine capture of this frozen lake against a very appealing mountain landscape. The goose is a nice bonus, while the line of buoys takes the eyes gently across the lake towards the background scene. Good tones and clarity.

Hi Renier,
Despite knowing that it just natural that you are having winter on the other side of the planer while up here we are having hot weather, it's always a surprise seeing almost glacial views like this shot just a week ago.
I find interesting and unexpected not seeing snow by the lake, despite it being completely frozen. The surface, with its "scraps" and the reflection of the snowed peaks of the BG makes an interesting "floor". The POV looks a little too centred to me, I wonder if it hadn't been better if you had move a bit to the right to put the the buoys more off centre. Anyway, it's a wonderful photo of a stunning place.

gggrrrr..... an envy for us who currently are experiencing daytime highs in the 90's!

the vertical presentation is a wise choice as it gives a full view of the snow-capped mountains- that trademark of this season called winter. a non-gloomy capture i say comparing with most other wintry shots!

Beautiful landscape shot. Like the whole setting, the frozen water, the mountains in the BG, the trees, and the reflection. Looks straight out of the camera without PP. Maybe a touch of curves & sharpness would help. But otherwise, everything looks great. Good work!
