A close up of the Perth city skyscrapers during blue hour with reflections in the Swan River.

Perth has a population of around 1,750,000 and is the State capital of Western Australia. Taken from South Perth. You can see the Barrack Street Pier & Swan Bells (the yellow green light at right) near the waterfront in the distance.

Nous sommes à l'heure bleue et les lumière font briller tous ces beaux gratte ciel de la ville qui semble pousser comme un champignon si on se fie aux nombreuses grues.

quel dommage que ce ciel soit si bruité car il est suberbe dans ses couleurs, un des meilleurs moments de la journée pour la photographier.
Un clin d'oeil à ces immenses grues, plus impressionnantes que tout le reste.

what a cracking picture. the blue effect in the sky has been perfectly captured, while the clouds add further interest. the lights in the buildings are quite incredible and an amazing visual effect. the water looks wonderful while the reflections are perfect creating excellent straight line patterns.

Hi Chris,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the lighted highrise buildings. Using an ISO of 1600 and a slow shutter speed have a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Great, almost hypnotic graphics of this blue hour shot in perth, colours are just fantastic and the framing with a narrow stripe of reflctions is excellent (maybe crop the last building and cranes on the left was an option?)

An effective compo with a good tight frame around the buildings with their coloured lights reflecting so well in the water. Fine graphical touch, great luminosity and of course a lovely sky. I think i might have clone out the crane on the left side and it is what I did in a ws, hoping you don't mind ;)

here we have another blue hour, but not in China this time!
these yellow honeycomb windows are one of my favorite subjects for city skylines in the blue hour - they look great don't they!
love the colors in the water too.
a good variation of heights, and an attractive view point.
