Photographer's Note
Handtools Preservation Society held a fair and I made a visit thinking that I would have an opportunity to take a few interesting portraits. I had a preconceived idea that some of the fellows would be as weathered as their old tools, but to my disappointment they were just ordinary folk that love old tools.
I used sepia filter to give it an old look befitting some of the tools which were used generations ago.
Alat is a Turkish word for tools which we use in the Balkans with hundreds of other words that have remained with us after centuries of Ottoman rule.

Hi dear kaludio
Very impressive color touch, so attractive semi sepia B&W way. The busy atmosphere is so well shared at all.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

Hello Klaudio,
My husband would have been in his element here!
We could have spent a whole morning perusing these 'finds'. Maybe I will have to leave you in suspense about the condition of his 'weathering'!
I think this is a great shot.
It has wonderful clarity, fine composition and the sepia treatment does add a sense of age.
Is that a tripod waiting for your use or is it off a theodolite?
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Excellent TE post that perfectly fulfills the mission "learn about the world through photography". I have never heard of this society, never come across the word "alat" and now I know!
Great choice of medium. You did make the scene look old. And timeless. And unforgettable.
