Photographer's Note

A view down Wharf Street from the corner with Ann St in the central business district of Brisbane City. This quirky statue wasn't here when I left Australia in 2006. It wasn't possible to get the entire sculpture in frame without cutting off the top of the skyscraper so I might load a workshop showing a full view. At first I thought it was a kangaroo, but its actually a dog or wolf. Polish artist Cezary Stulgis created it and he now lives nearby on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane. He studied at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Poland (Kraków). More info here:

The Aurora Tower at left has 69 levels and is 207 metres tall. It was the tallest building in Brisbane until 2011.
