O LAGO ESCONDIDO (IV) !
THE ESCONDIDO/HIDDEN LAKE (IV) !

In wintertime, just like in any other place too close to the poles (in this case, the southern pole), days are short! So I left my hotel and it was still dark! But when the sun comes up, it's so bright! It had just happened that and we stopped by the banks of the ESCONDIDO LAKE, in the sunnier part of the Island, where the mountains get lower and lower until a total flat land in northern Tierra del Fuego! It was cold and windy! But how I love that!!!!!!

Hello Ney,
A well composed shot taking full advantage of the snow covered jetty to act as a pointer towards the far mountains. Very pleasing warm light and I like how you have captured the dynamism in the choppy waters of the lake. Excellent use of the vertical format.

beautiful winter lake; heavy, lead-type water creates excellent winter feelings, nice perspective and light shadows adds to the overall charm of the photograph.

Imagino que não se pode deixar de amar tudo isso. Uma beleza incrível essa Terra do Fogo, um lugar que eu ,quando era criança, pensava só existir nos livros de Geografia. Tenho certeza de que nunca vi fotos desse fim do mundo tão belas quanto as suas. Parabéns e

Hello,

quel adrage, le ponton et sa neige, sa douce couhe, nous on l'attend pour ce soir la eige en montange, avec le beau bleu et des relfet légèrement doré, l'ombre sur le ponton, merveilleuse iamge, sueprbe.

The a few snow care for an extra colour and attractive.
This is just an amazing panoramic wide view with such a stunning perspective.
The colours and the light are at their best and you knew how to work with the elements.

Olà Neyvan,

Le POV très bien chois et ce beau FG très graphique donne une très agréable profondeur à l'image. une belle perspective ouverte vers la mer à la couleur d'encre et vers la montagne où le blanc de la neige se méle aux couleurs plus chaudes. TYrès beau travail photo.

Isso que eu iria perguntar, o sol sobre o gelo deve queimar a vista não? Eu ia sofrer por não poder usar oculos escuros (uso de grau).
Sabe porque se chama "escondido" esse lago? Essa água deve ser bem gelada, algum peixe?

Hi Ney, while I like all your recent postings, this one is my favourite. There's a visually pleasing and to my eye at least, unusual combination of elements in the snow, water and mountain.
