Somehow I am so amazed by southern South America these days that I keep rummaging through my 2006 shots. I really loved this one which was taken on the worst day of the trip when it comes to weather. On our way to Fitz Roy respectively El Chaltén we had a nice view across Lago Viedma... Right behind or in between these mountains the large Campo Hielo Sur begins, which is one of the biggest inland icefields in the world. The just keeps impressing you...
On the right of the picture you could see El Glaciar Viedma and next to it the majestic Fitz Roy massiv, which was covered by clouds.
