THE LIGHTHOUSE OF THE END OF THE WORLD - LES ÉCLAIREURS - IN THE BEAGLE'S CANAL !

After visiting the TIERRA DEL FUEGO NATIONAL PARK in the morning by train and by bus, in the afternoon we took a boat ride in the BEAGLE'S CANAL, to visit this lighthouse and see all the local wildlife!

Salut Neyyan,

Conditions climatiques intéressantes et de circonstance pour ce sujet.

I just love lighthouses as photographic subject and this one is very well located, on a rugged rock with a colour that nicely complement the red stripes.

The composition is a bit stiff, with a horizon line optically in the middle. Maybe you didn't have choice, but seeing more sky or more sea, instead than half and half, would boost up the personality of your image. Unless you desperately wanted to have a square frame.

Also, the lighthouse is slightly tilted and seem to fall into the picture. Sometimes tilted building can be interesting to create a convergence, in a wide angle situation for example. But here, standing alone by itself, there is no real justification to keep it tilted.

Olà Neyvan,

Une vue très impressionnate avec ce phare avancé dans la mer et qui ressort très bien dans l'image. Une image riche en contrastes forts très bien captés et avec une belle profondeur. J'aime tout particulièrement l'avant-plan dynamique, rythmé, coloré, contrasté.

Looks to be a desolate sort of place. Perhaps a slight ccw rotation, so the lighthouse is vertical? Good sharpness & mood. I like the muted colours & snowcapped peaks at right. Tfs!

O ambiente parecia bem inóspito...Bela paisagem e bonito local. As montanhas nevadas ao fundo são tudo. Só acredito que a foto esteja um pouco inclinada para a direita.

I find lighthouses to be interesting subjects, telling the story of maritime development!
However I have seen very few lighthouses from the southern hemisphere, this is a first except a couple of Australians...
A well composed presentation, fine details and good colours!

Hello Neyvan,
This picture is very expressive, as it shows one of the remotest points of South America, almost "the end of geography". This is underlined by the gloomy sky and foggy background. The lighthouse is the compositional center having distinct contrast with its rocky surroundings. Perfectly well captured!

havia um tour de barco que passava perto deste farol e havia um de veleiro, que ia para uma ilha exclusiva (não sou sócio da ilha de caras, mas fui , haha). vi este farol de longe. bela imagem, muito bonita a tectura e as cores da vegetação, a luz, mesmo difícil ficou bonita, bom enquadramento. bem feito
