This photo was taken end of march in the Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. This is the end of the wet season, and therefore parts of the salar are covered with water, whereas other parts are almost dry.

On the photo there are pyramids of salt currently being harvested. Thanks the the humidity it is possible to easily get salt from the ground. The pyramids are made for the salt to dry.

Nice white pyramid, Mathieu
The image of white salt pyramid get along very well with white cloud and blue sky. Either wet floor pattern or the reflection are nice.

Bonjour Mathieu.
Ce coin est à proximité du village de Colchani. C'est la cité du sel sur le salar. J'ai eu l'occasion de voir cet endroit mais il n'y avait que très peu d'eau. C'est très spectaculaire , mais encore plus en saison des pluies.

A bit unusual POV for this one - normally people would not like to show the mountains in the BG.
I like your composition and the faint reflections of the salt piles look very interesting.

this must be such a strange place to visit, a desert of salt.
I'm wondering what's exactly the surface that reflects the piles? It's so flat, like a sheet of metal. Probaly hardened salt with moisture, but still, it's so flat...
