You saw this old TV tower many times in my gallery, it was destroyed last week during a storm.
Here we can see a small hawk named "Gavião-Carijó", something like" hawk with dark spots". The carijó word was the name of a tribe of Brazilian indians who painted their bodies with dark spots, and because this in Brazilian language each animal with spots in their body is named this way.
The science name of the hawk is Rupornis magnirostris.
This one was around 50 meters far from my window, in the top of a TV tower 20 meters high. Watching it was like a big bird in the tower, but I only saw who it was when I took the camera.

Vocês já viram essa velha antena de TV muitas vezes na minha galeria de fotos, contudo, ela foi derrubada por uma tempestade na semana passada.
Vemos aqui um "gavião-Carijó" de nome científico Rupornis Magnirostris. O nome do bicho vem da tribo dos índios carijós, que tinham o costume de pintar o corpo com pintas e por causa disso as pessoas do campo tem o hábito de chamar todos os animais com pintinhas no corpo de carijó.
Essa foto foi tirada da minha janela, eu estava a uns 50 metros de distância da torre e ela tinha cerca de 20 metros de altura. Olhando de longe sabia que era um pássaro grande, mas só fui ver o que era ao olhar pela câmera.
