Photographer’s Note
Today, two years ago I discovered TE, just by accident. From there the journey of learning photography has never stopped, and the cure of TE-itis has never been found. During this time I posted 152 photos, I gave 3729 critiques, received 5422 points (0.727 ratio, and average of 35.67 points per photo), and 1 of every 4.5 persons that check my gallery leaves a critique, but most important, I have made some new friends who share the same hobby.
To celebrate this anniversary I would like to post a photo from El Tatio Geysers. According to some reports, El Tatio is the highest geyser field in the world at more than 4,200mts of altitude.
This was my third time here, but first time for my wife. We woke up 4AM and arrive there just for sunrise. This was taken with the first rays coming above the hills. I have another shot that I found perhaps more dramatic, but there is some noticeable flare, so I decided to post it as WS of this main photo. Which one do you think is better?.
See you around this year as well.

hi Jorge, and congratulations on the anniversary :) I know how addictive TE is, but I believe this is one of those "healthy" addictions, so I wish you many more great posts here.
we went to El Tatio Geysers as well, but I have to admit that after seeing thermal features in Yellowstone national part, I was not particularly impressed, lol :) we were wandering among El Tatio in the pre-dawn bitter cold and contemplating that in a couple of million years the place might look as colourful as Yellowstone :) but I have to admit, seein sunrise through the steem of the geysers was quite surreal, I'm glad I've seen that, and I'll try to find a photo for posting.
despite the overexposed spot, I quite like your shot, I find it illustrates well "earth in the making".
best,
Kristine

Hello Jorge
El Tatio is a great place and photography at sunset the geysers when the temperature is very low and with few oxygen is not an easy task. However I love the result.
Congratulation on your two when on TE.
Cheers

hi Jorge
2 yrs is not a short period of time and I hope you will carry on to share more of your work. It is a good way to spend time and at the same time learning something useful :)
I have to agree with avene about the OE part but the geysers are always not easy to capture in strong light condition and you have shown a good way to control the light by timed moment of the fog scene. The effect of the OE on the overall gives a nice result with your note.
Good work from Chile.

Jorge,
Congratulations on your 2 year anniversary on TE.
This is an interesting shot of this geyser. The lighting is dramatic and effective giving us striking contrast. The inclusion of the patch of blue sky was a nice addition to the shot.

Hi Jorge,
2 years, congratulations, it's been a long time.
You posted a lot of subjects and this one is from your home country and shows that Chile has a lot to offer in landscape and nature like these geysers, which i was not aware of you had them over there.
The dark blue on the top left works excellent to the much brighter part in the middle...very nice.
Regards,
Henk

Hi Jorge
You celebrate your two years in beauty. This geyser is magnificent with the sun veiled by the smoke which it kicks away. Congratulations.

Great atmosphere here Jorge. That big burst of light in the middle works very well here. A nice way of celebrating that 2 year milestone.

Hello Jorge
I am not very active in TE now due to relocation, but I couldn't miss your anniversary post! While the WS post is a nice one which shows the geyser better, but this certainly is a better post, with the sun through the geyser water & relcting on the water below...and we see the blue sky as well! Congratulations on your anniversary and wish to see many many shots from you!

Bellisima la fotografia elegida para celebrar tus dos años en TE, aunque tienes estupendos trabajos en tu galeria. Aqui el momento captado es soberbio y todo lo demas perfecto. Enhorabuena.

Hola Jorge
ahh, another one from Tatio. I quite like the mood in this one; unfortunately, the sun broke through the clouds too late for us to catch this early glimpse across the geyser field.
Belated congratulations on your 2 years here!
