Cacti above the ocean
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
Parque Nacional Pan de Azúcar comprises 43,754 hectares of coastal desert and cordillera. Park altitude range from sea level to 900 m. Cool Humboldt Current supports a variety of marine mammals such as otters and sea lions and birds, including pelicans, cormorants and the Humboldt penguins.
At higher elevations, moisture of the fog (camanchaca) nurtures more than 20 species of cacti.
We couldn’t assign the species of these tall cacti on the cliff over Pacific Ocean. |

Interesting shot and nice landscape. May be a vertical framing to give a better view ?
I think the horizontal framing is fine. We don't really need to see the cactus in its entirely, especially if it is large like this one. we can appreciate the sharpness, the texturs and the shadows just great the way it is. the rest of the shot is beautiful too, especially that blue water. great shooting!
hola Nikolay, I like this picture particularly because I had never seen the oceaon side of Atacama, meaning mostly I had seen the mounteneous and desert sections. So, I really enjoyed this scenery and the accompanying notes you have provided.
thank you so much
and regards,
Behrang
