Palacio de La Moneda

The Palacio de La Moneda (Spanish for "Mint Palace"), or simply La Moneda, is the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile. It also houses the offices of three cabinet ministers: Interior, General Secretariat of the Presidency and General Secretariat of the Government. It occupies a whole block in downtown Santiago, in the area known as Civic District.
Construction began in 1784 and was opened in 1805, while still under construction. The production of coins in Chile took place at La Moneda from 1814 to 1929, and in 1845, the palace became the seat of government and presidential residence.

Arturo Fortunato Alessandri Palma (December 20, 1868–August 24, 1950) was a Chilean political figure and reformer, who served twice as the President of Chile, first between 1920 and 1924, and then again in 1925, and finally from 1932 until 1938.

On the Workshop you can see a wider view of La Moneda.

hola Ricardo,very nice architecture !

Bom trabalho!
Abraço,
Zeca

Ola Ricardo
Love the fountains in the FG & how the water curves away & down from the viewer. The fast shutter speed has frozen the water. Nice right angle of the buildings & the statue in semi-silhouette. Good work!

Aires

While it was good to see the wider view for the extra information I think you made the best choice with this as your main post. The statue works well composed on the left. I love the way the water has been frozen by the fast shutter. The fountains look like fans. Well done

hi Ricardo

Interesting view of square and architecture of your country, its history and heritage.

tfs, bill

Hi Ricardo,
A really nice photo of this palace, from a good POV and in a good composition. The statue is well added in the left foreground and the fountains are also a very nice detail. The light is pleasant too. Well done!
Regards,
Lars
