In Front Of The Palace Of San Carlos

First it was housing in the late sixteenth century, then went to a seminar that the leadership of the Jesuits, who as regent until his expulsion.
In 1774, the Royal Library was founded in Santa Fe and in 1777 was declared public. In 1783 part of the building was used for the Battalion Headquarters Assistant.
Later it was sold to Don Juan Manuel Arrubla, who made many improvements and re-sell the Government in 1828 to spend on Presidential Palace in July of that year was premiered by the Liberator Bolivar, three months before the conspiracy of September.
Since 1980, the Palace of San Carlos ceases to be the residence of the presidents of Colombia, to become headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hello John,
intersting moment; very nice view of the palace and the area in front of it! Very good colours. I like the people feeding the birds.
though it seems to me that the photo is a bit tilted. I would rotate it a little clock-wise.

This is really a shot worth posting on TE. The apperture of 8.1 makes a great depth of field, from the pigeons to the human beings........to the repeatition of the pillars.....its a great shot.
It was destined to be a low angle shot......

Hola John muy buena foto que capta una de las entretenciones favoritas en la Plaza de Bolivar, alimentar las palomas. Tan solo una pequeña corrección al título, no estás en frente del Palacio de San Carlos sino del Capitolio. El Palacio de San Carlos queda por la calle 10 en frente del Teatro Colón dos cuadras hacia arriba.
