It was designed and made by master Rodrigo Arenas Betancourt. It is a monument that has enormous courage and strong enough to become a symbol of the greatness and spirit of the great liberator of nations 5: Simón Bolívar.

In the artist's work, you can feel the authenticity and the creative genius of the master. The elements of the work: MAN - CONDOR - MASK, get together to display the contents and spiritual hero sublime, joining the body of the man who embodies the freedom bird that dominates the Andes, "Condor".

This book goes beyond the historical tradition or coldness static traditional monuments, was conducted among 1,985 to 1,986 years, is made in bronze and concrete and measured 18 metres high.

Sculptor colombian born on October 23, 1919 in El Uvital, rural area of the town of Fredonia, Antioquia. He died in the year 1995. It is one of the most famous sculptors of Colombia and America. Many of his works are public monuments.

He was one of the most prolific artists colombians and appreciated nationally and internationally. His bronzes are characterized as being giants, melodramatic and spectacular; are found in cities across the length and breadth of the colombian geography.
