Stopped Time

In the latest photos I took before leaving the wonderful town of Barichara, in Santander.

Its streets in stone, the picturesque facades of their houses, the hard heat, and the solitude of a day Sunday, I felt the feeling that the time was halted in the history of this town, which did not want to leave behind.

I hope you enjoy this view.

Hi John,
Very good picture, the sharpness and DOF are excellent. A hard time to shot, at noon, but you managed the light very well. Clouds are beautiful, we have the impression of volume.
This image reminds me some small villages in Brazil.

Hi John, I very much liked the texture of this beautiful small time, in which the time seems to be stopped as you have mentioned. The colours are wonderful. Also the use of light. Hi John, this is very good example of balancing a photo without centrilizing the focus point. very good DOF. i like how this photo takes the viewers eyes and lead then to depth till that little dark green mountains. well seen.

This town was superb on offering you great images to be photographed!
This picture is wonderful!
The cloudy and stormy sky fits perfectly to the sunlight that reaches the houses, walls and vegetation, and the shadowy parts are very nice as well!

Hola John

Me gusta la fotografia, creo que el pov bajo nos ofrece uan inmejorable perspectiva de esta bonita calle de este lugar que al parecer es un sitio de visita obligada.

Los diferentes tonos de color son apreciables y funcionan bien y algo que destacaria seria la buena definicion y limpeza de la imagen.

I enjoyed this view a lot, very nostalgic for my case i grew up in an urban place like this. Your pov is great and i like this alleyway, it's very unique in TE. A quite and peaceful place to reminisce my childhood. I enjoyed it, well done. thanks for sharing.

Hola John,
El titulo está muy bien escogido. Me imagino que la vista no seria muy diferente hace 50 oh 100 años. Si no fuera por la vegetación, que también existe por aquí y puede ser bastante lujuriante, pero no tiene ese aire tropical, se podría pensar que es un pueblo del Sur de Portugal.
Como es usual, el PdV fue muy bien escogido y la luz, nitidez y colores quedaran esplendidos.

beautoful photo, beautiful colours. I like the shadows on the road in the foreground and the tree branch at the top, they help to fill in the empty space at the bottom and balance the whole composition.

The strong perspective of the image draws the eye right into the scene past the old houses. Very well exposed image, especially the sun on the whites.

las fotos que tomaste en este hermoso pueblo siguen sorprendiéndome por su gran belleza. Aquí has combinado con elegancia la gran perspeciva de tu encuadre, las texturas del pavimento en la calle, la limpia blancura de las casas, el árbol y el cielo para conseguir un gran resultado estético, que la luz y las sombras se encargan de completar.

Hm I like this too John. An empty street might not always be so appealing but the paving and the tree shadows add interest. I particularly like the subtlety of the tone given it is take in the middle of the day. Regards Paul.
