The Meeting Of Two Worlds
..................................
1.492 - 2.008 (516 years of mourning)
.........................................
Particularly in Colombia, and the totality of the Latin American countries, it is celebrated the 12 of October like the day of the race. For some, the term race does not mean anything in this day, because history declares that 516 years ago a caravan of three caravels, coming from the other side of the ocean, arrived accidentally at these earth, giving like result, the discovery of a new world…
For the great totality of the indigenous communities that even survive in our America, this it is a day of mourning. So it is so the black color in many cases, predominates in his clothing, like a tragedy symbol.
I ignite the television and I observe in the news, how a group of native of an indigenous community, declare in a pacific march, which stops they have been 516 years of oppression, fights, decline to its conditions of health, work, house and of better quality of life.
¿It has been just? This immense territory has been and will be always of them, even have more right than we on these American earth.

Hello John,
Very good lights and WB. So good scene. I like the POV. There's a lot of clouds but it seem to be sunlight! No?

Hello John,
Very interesting note. The meeting of two worlds too often had as result that one of both was considered inferior to the other one. I think that all over the world - in this time of migrations from everywhere to almost everywhere else - we will have to learn to live together with full respect for each others culture.
The picture is a very good representation of your note. Sharp, well detailed and excellent expressions on the faces of the statues.
Best regards, Paul

Hello John,
An interesting text which supplements well the statue and the expressions of the three men.
An excellent photograph, very symbolic with a POW well selected and a framing which show well the details and the expression. The statue arise very well in the white color of the BG. A good contribution for TE.
Have a good evening and to morrow,
Roger

Hola John,
Incredible story and mostly its understandable only when you live in Latin America few years. I'm very curious about Indigenous life around the continent. Their cultures, lands are already destroyed and still continue.
Your fantastic view easily recognizable with well know artistic style. I like your way to focus them and adding statues to the scene at front of amazing roof textures with dark cloudy sky. Wonderful, congratulations.
Cordialmente,
Ertugrul
