"Mosses Curtain"
- Henhouse Park -

Henhouse Park is located on an island formed by the river Fonce and creek Curití, very close to the municipality of San Gil in the Department of Santander.

It covers an area of four (4) hectares of land cultivated with a good number of trees called "henhouse" on whose branches hanging moss or beards, where you can walk in the shade, as well as leafy ceiba, anaco and other species, with wide variety of shrubs and gardens.

The addition Henhouse Park is the only natural park within an urban perimeter in Colombia.

The park opened on December 13 1985 and has also received the name of Belle Island Nature Reserve, because it is always surrounded by water. Curití lead to the gorge on the river Fonce, opens in three arms, forming deltas of the scenic park.

All the land is cultivated with 1867 trees, which 80% are called "henhouse" and whose branches are born mosses Tilladesia Usnoides that extend to form long and elegant drapes.

In this shot, on the banks of the river Fonce, that people wanted to stay in the picture, to pretend that she has a reference point on the scale of length which have the "beard" hanging from the trees.
