Until recently I had the opportunity to make known through various images, this charming little town of the southern Department of Santander.

And for work, I had the opportunity to return and become a marvel of its history, the content of their streets in stone, provided that color of yellow - ocher so characteristic.

Being next half hour of the day, the lighting was strong. The sun was almost over my head, therefore trying to hide under the eaves of the roof and facilitate capture shots without the heavy exposure prevented me do a good job.

From a high, captured in detail the entire route of this street, reinforcing the composition with a pair of passers, that under the strong sun, slowly walked the track.

Hope will be to the liking of everyone.

This is a fine shot of this great scene. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. The road leads the eye through the sharp with excellent sharpness and detail.

Hi John,

Extremely well-composed photo with a strong leading point and highly captivating view.

It's interesting to see the the houses with a different lower colour or texture, following the hill.

It's never easy to capture the feeling of a city, in a wider sense, just like you've done it here. I mean we can shoot a scene on the street or a monument, but to get the feeling of the "urbanism" and structural organization of a village, I found very insightful to see this image from a corner of the world we are not often exposed to.

Nice rooftops, squeaky clean streets and attractive houses under good light and sky full of clouds.

Very fine view of this lovely street , with nice wrm tonalities . The composition is really excellent , with the lantern in the fore ground , the downing street , the beautiful houses (What a wonderful rural architecture) , and the little green mountains in the back ground . Even , the electic lines are good in this picture , with interesting diagonals .

Estas calles inclinadas, de suelo empedrado castaño/amarillo, y casitas muy blancas junto con las nubes pintorescas en el cielo azul, los montes verdes y el sol fuerte te han dado unas fotos preciosas. La perspectiva es fantástica, como lo son la luminosidad y colores.

very good photo: excellent perspective view, very well balanced composition and lovely sunny colours.
I like that lantern under the roof, in the top right corner; and the man standing in the middle of the road: he is very appropriate here, on the empty road which, together with the rows of the reddish roofs, is going far away into the distant hills... Very beautiful view in the distance!

Hello John, Well considering the framework " naturel" made by the gutters of the roof, a beautiful filtered light propels us in the image with this long street and its multitude of gutters in rows, the two characters have the motionless air so much heat perspires of the photograph, you knew well to manage, and this in spite of the strong light the various zones d' shade and of light what was not to be easy here, sincerely ................Bonjour John, Bien vu le cadre "naturel" fait par les gouttières du toit, une belle lumière filtrée nous propulse dans l’image avec cette longue rue et sa multitude de gouttières en enfilades, les deux personnages ont l’air immobile tant la chaleur transpire de la photo, tu as bien su gérer, et ce malgré la forte lumière les différentes zones d'ombre et de lumière ce qui ne devait pas être facile ici, bien amicalement

que simpática vila. Você encontrou um excelente ponto de vista onde a perspectiva da particular arquitetura nos leva a um passeio por essa ruela. As cores e o brilho estão na medida certa. Também gosto da presença humana como um ponto focal na imagem. Muito bonita!

If I can come to Colombia one day I'll ask you help me to visit this type streets that includes enviable scenes in your photos every time. Hope one day it can be.

I like my all time favorites of textures created by especially old type terracotta roof tiles. Their contrast are unbelievable with white facades and your excellently build POV already add excellent depth with alley. Great addition of part of roof at right side and of course fantastic sky and green texture. Congratulations.

Salte esta sin querer y son de las que mas me gustan por representar calles muy típicas de los pueblos de tu hermoso país. Tu punto de vista alto es muy bueno para disfrutar del barrio con casas casi todas iguales y sus techos de tejas, la vista es preciosa. Me gustan mucho los colores, definición y la perspectiva. Esta muy bien captada.

I liked the pov here under the shade which included the lamp of the house towards the far distance view!

Buenos días John hacía tiempo que no visitaba tu galería, y me ha sorprendido esta fotografía tanto por su nitidez como por su composición. El detalle de tomar el farol ajustando el ángulo hacia la derecha me parece una magnífica idea, más que la de incluir a los dos transeúntes.
