This is a shot in a rural setting of my Valle Of The Cauca.

A really simple composition originally captured in color (WS), but by reference to the comment given by Iris, worthy of convert to B/N, perhaps giving it an atmosphere of drama to the scene, taking into account the menacing clouds that are projected in the background.

Their views are respected and well received.

Que hubo amiguito!
Honor ser la primera :D
Otro arbolito solitario que me voy
a llevar para el tema.
Me gusta la opcion de blanco y negro,
de verdad que si se ve mas dramatica
la escena. Las nubes en el fondo le
complementan muy bien.

Hello john.

nicely taken.The B & W has provided more depth to the photo.May be you could have taken the picture little bit up so that you could have captured more of that beautiful cloud.The ground seems little bit flat/boring compared with the cloud.

Its color version is also good but this one is more atmospheric specially with the shapes of the branches n the dramatic sky ..good work..thank you

Bonjour,
belle photo NB de cet arbre superbe, comme un parrasol, avec en arrière plan ces nuages qui le font bien ressortir .
Belle prise et bon choix du NB qui donne de belles luminosités.

Hola John,
Magnífica imagen en B&N, casi de galería diría yo, aunque quizas veo al arbol un poco demasiado centrado. La original en color es tambien bella, pero al desaturarla ha ganado muchísimo en fuerza visual.

Hola John,
Me gustan mucho fotos de arboles aisladas y solas en un campo abierto y esta quedo muy lograda, con el cielo nublado acentuando el dramatismo. La exposición está en el punto - a pesar del efecto de silueta, aun ay algun detalle en las ramas.
El WS también es muy bueno, quizás más "hermoso" que esta, pero no tiene el mismo impacto visual de esta. Es curioso como el B&N acentúa la atmósfera dramática.

Hola John...... la verdad es que esta en B/N a mi manera de ver gana por goleada a la de color y tu lo explicas muy bien en tu nota, lo que yo destacaría es el "encuadre" del solitario árbol ante la espectacularidad de las nubes. Un buen trabajo, sin duda.

Hola John,

this is classic, a powerful b&w composition. The lonely tree in its black tones contrasts beautifully with the cloudy sky. The fact you placed the tree a little to the left makes the image even more dynamic. Perfect, love it!
