Originally called as Hermitage Our Lady of Solitude Of The River.

Built in 1678 and destroyed by an earthquake in 1925.

The new construction was initiated by Miss Micaela Castro. Its reconstruction began in 1930, for completion in 1942.

The plans were prepared by the architect Pablo Emilio Paez, who was inspired by the Gothic Cathedral of Cologne (Germany). Inside there is the image of the Lord of the Cane dating back to the eighteenth century and its origin is unknown.

Hello John,
This is a beautiful blue hour photo. I like the golden lights of the cathedral and the tail lights of the car as it passes by outside. I also like the way you framed the photo with the leaves of the tree. Beautiful architecture, and a very nice presentation.

What is really very interesting here is the lighting style, which for me is quite unusual. Having said that, I need to add that I also like it, as it highlights the most decorated sections of the church. The view from inside must be spectacular because the windows are all lit up. It is a very beautiful blue hour photo. Well done.

Hola John,
me gusta, es muy atractiva. Además de realzar la bonita y elegante iluminación artificial de esta iglesia, la acompañas con las ramas formando un arco sobre ella en el cielo aún azul, y con el dinamismo creado por el movimiento de los coches en la calle.
Todo forma una bonita imagen urbana, con gran tratamiento de la luz y bellos colores, en una toma muy bien realizada.

Hola John,
La iglesia es muy bonita y bajo esa iluminación queda aun mas deslumbrante. El manejo de la luz es magistral, resultando en un nivele de detalles impresionante y en colores maravillosas.
Solo hayun defecto: esta inclinada.

Hello John,
You shot this at a perfectly beautiful time of the evening. The colors and lighting are gorgeous with very nice sharpness. I like the tree branches framing the picture and the blur of the van to spur our sense of motion. It is exquisite!

Hola John,

fantástica composição de blue hour. O momento foi muito bem escolhido assim como o tema. Mesmo não dispondo de um tripé, seus ajustes foram eficientes para que a imagem não ficasse tremida. Controle de exposição muito bom e enquadramento com as folhagens como moldura natural funcionam excelentemente. Belo trabalho!

Olá John,
ficou muito bonita mesmo essa captura na hora azul, e o contraste com a iluminação da Igreja ficou ótimo também, só não gostei da distorção causada pela grande angular na construção, mas nada que um PP resolva.

Magnifica foto captada en la hora azul de la preciosa e impresionante arquitectura de la bien iluminada iglesia, los detalles y la definición están estupendas, muy buen punto de vista, me gusta mucho el efecto de los carros y sus luces al pasar gracias a tu baja exposición. The lights on richly ornamented facade are fantastic as same over all quality of your night capture. Amazing coincidence with yellow lights on facade and blurry yellow car. Excellent clarity and sharpness in natural colors as usual under blue night colors. Congratulations.

La harmonía con los colores de las luces es perfecta.
A mi me parece que pudieras diminuir las distorsiones a la derecha para que no tuviéramos la impresión que la iglesia es inclinada.

Hola J' al cuadrado!

La Ermita durante la hora azul se ve preciosa. Lo que mas hace resaltar la imagen, es la iluminacion de la estructura la cual le da un toque dorado que hace un bello contraste con el firmamento.Me gusta el encuadre natural utilizando las ramas del arbol.
