Photographer’s Note
While traveling along routes 2/7 you can find small cantinas, little places where you can enjoy some traditional dishes.
Last time I traveled we stopped to have launch. I chose to have a chicken soup (I felt kind of sick so I needed to strenght my inmune system!).
At the store you can also find wine, caña, yerba mate for the terere, and some herbs to help you travel with comfort.
The woman who attended us, accepted to pose showing me her inventory.
She was of course a good cooker and a nice person. Please notice that she is wearing a t-shirt of ao poi, which in guarani means "fine dress". It is a handmade dress which is very beautiful and traditional in Paraguay. It is also very comfortable to wear in hot temperatures.

Sorry for the flash, it was cloudy and too dark. Not possible to get a decent photo without it.
I added a frame, do not know why...just to try.
I will add this to my theme People of Paraguay.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for your kindness as always TErs!

Your composition made sense Cesar, specially how in your square format, shelves and goods behind are separating the whole space in some sorts of thirds.
However and even if you're sorry for that, i just can't admit flash that way. Flash should be used outdoors ortherwise bounced on the ceiling or the walls, it makes a disgracious shadow and provides dull front lighting.
You should have set the camera to the fastest ISo you could, and even steadied it somewhere on the shelves in order to prevent shake blur... natural light is so much better than flash light...

Ok I can see you used flash here - and perhaps would a natural light shot have given a more moody image - but I like the pose she gives you and the nice details of her little cantina - specially the "wine of the house" :-)
Thanks Cesar.

Good elements are the square appropriate framing, the expression of the lady, good use of flash here not disturbing or making her face too harsh, the true colors and also the extnsion with the background. One thing that maybe could be improved that she would have be moving her arm to give a less static feeling and covering her wealthy live a bit, don't you think ?

"snif snif snif"
what's that smell?
ooooooh i see it's diaperboy Cesar ;-))
how's the mitai, amigo?
nice proud look of the woman... the flash is not a big problem, although the shadows it creates are unnatural... i like the moody colors of the background with all the ornaments and bottles... nice shot K.
