(My trip to Peru - september 2007 - #38)

LADERAS DE AGUAS CALIENTES - AGUAS CALIENTES STEEP STREETS - After a whole day visiting the Machu Picchu Ruins, had to go all the way up again from the bus station to my Pachacutec Hotel, gather my stuff and go down again to the train station to get the Backbacker back to Cusco! Hard work, had to be a bit fit not to be completely exhausted! Of course, while doing that I wouldn't miss the chance to register that place from that point of view. In this one, one can see some children coming from school and joyfully going back to their homes up in the hill!

WS has other versions of the same place. Take a look a them and enjoy them! Due to lack of time, I thank you all for your comments, compliments, criticizing, etc.

LADEIRAS DE AGUAS CALIENTES - Depois de um dia inteiro visitando as ruínas de Machu Picchu, tive de subir da rodoviária ao meu Hotel Pachacutec, juntar minhas tralhas e descer de novo até a estação de trem, para pegar o Backpacker para voltar para Cusco! Foi duro, tive estar um pouquinho em forma prá não ficar completamente exausto! Claro, enquanto fazia isso tinha de registrar aquele local, daquele ponto de vista. Nesta foto, pode-se ver crianças voltando da escola, felizes, subindo prá suas casas no alto do morro!

Critiques [Translate]

A very telling daily life shot of the street. From a higher POV, you have the advantage of seeing all the way to end of the street, adding to the DOF. The blueish mountain backdrop provides a good contrast.

assurément c'est le genre de photo qui fait voyager. J'aime beaucoup cette scène de vie et ce cadrage qui donne l'impression d'y être.

Imagino o quanto o ar daí não deva ser rarefeito. Gostei do colorido, das luzes e da animação desta callejita como dizem os hermanos. Ótimo POV com a cordilheira ao fundo, e o enquadramento vertical não poderia deixar de ser o melhor. Bela mostra. Abraço, Consuelo

todos os restaurante são meio parecidos mas tenho a impressão que almocei no restaurante à direita..nesse dia tava caindo um chuvão, tudo cinzento. Essa cidade é bem esquisita com aquela rua que sobe, sobe e parece não ter fim (não paguei pra ver). A cena mostra bem a rua e a arquitetura caótica e ao mesmo tempo, voltada ao turismo. Belo fragrante

Hi Neyvan,
There is nothing to match the burst of joy of school children finally being set free from the constraits of school.
Wonderfully clear rich colors and a fantastic mountain backdrop of this charming view down this narrow street.

ah yes, that is pretty much how Aquas Calientes looked like for me: Overcrowded :D
After 2 weeks on the trail, being with so many people in a thight squeezed space was quite the experience, a brutal return to civilisation :)

Very well exposed street, though the mountains and sky have some overexposure clipping. It's hard to avoid under those light conditions.
