Premier jour de notre voyage au Pérou en 2007, rien qu'à débarquer de l'avion à l'aéroport de Cuzco 3200m d'altitude il faut se lever de chaise tranquilement pour ne pas être étourdi par l'air raréfié en oxygène...
Histoire de prendre le temps de s'adapter à l'altitude, on a joué un peu les touristes classiques, entre autres pour visiter les fondations du fameux Temple du Soleil, démoli par Pizarro et ses conquistadores espagnols pour construire l'église de santo Domingus par dessus avec les mêmes pierres.
Pas évident de faire de belles photos avec la faible luminosité des nuages constants, mais une brève éclaircie, un cadrage avec soin et un peu de rehaussement de saturation on fait l'affaire pour la cour intérieure du couvent.

Day 1 of our 2007 trip to Perù, right on when offboarding the plane at the 3200m high Cuzco airport even getting up from a chair we could lose our balance due to the lack of oxygen...
In order to take the time necessary to adapt ourselves to the altitude, we played the classical tourists, visiting the foundations of the famous Temple of the Sun, demolished by Pizarro and his spanish conquistadores in order to build the Santo Domingus church with the stones.
It's not easy to make good pictures with the desaturating cloudy overcast, but a little clearing, a carefull framing and a little saturation increase does the trick for the nice internal courtyard of the church.

I know what you mean about the sky, so good efort waiting fr a clearing because it wouldn't be the same without a nice clear blue sky. Nicely composed and framed well within the building arches. Sounds like quite a place! Thanks for showing
