Photographer’s Note
Venezuela is located in the northern part of South America. The Tepuys are table-top mountains that are located exclusively in the Guiana Highlands, one of the oldest terrain on Earth. Most of them are located in Venezuelan territory.
In the picture can be seen the Acopan Tepuy, which is located near the Auyantepuy, probably the best known of these mountains due to the Angel Falls (Kerepakupai Meru), the tallest waterfall on the earth (979m).
The picture was taken during a climbing trip made on 2006. We climbed there a 400m route called "Jardineros de Grandes Paredes". Even when the climbing potential in the Tepuys is infinite, there are still relatively few routes, due to the difficult logistics involved in such a trip (most of them are only reachable by plane, including Acopan).

Hi, Leonardo,
I like how you have composed this photo, with the line of hikers creating a diagonal that leads the viewer's eye to the main attraction -- this impressive massif. The palette adds visual interest, especially the punctuation created by the red shirt of the trailing hiker.
The image can be improved, in my opinion, by some simple post-processing steps. I've illustrated these in a workshop.
Regards,
- William
