Photographer’s Note
This photo belongs to a series I shot on a boat trip (well, "boat", that is far overdone, I am afraid): as there are no roads crossing the always flooded Apure-Orinoco basin, the trip from San Fernando to Caicara de Orinoco is absurdly long, dull and with terrible road conditions. Unless you manage to get a local fisherman to take you downstream Apure into the Orinoco, in which case you will have an unforgettable experience of breathtaking beauty.
