I shot this at a little town just outside of Merida. I was returning from a safari when the van stopped to get some ice cream for the other passengers. Immediately, I spotted her across the street. With almost no time, I took out the telephoto and snapped away. The lighting was perfect and her pose was beautiful. In retrospec, I wish I had time to approach and shoot with a wide-angle lens instead. Either way, I think the results are fairly well.

Nice shot. I think a shot from her left side would have been really cool (if light permitted). but i also like how her face is a little hidden, adds a little mystery.

No Im not with Narayan..i think the POV was absolutely fine..if u could have taken from the right side the entire light may have come onto her face and messed the composition.. in the way i find it right becuase u could see one half of her face is still in shadow.. bright objects adds good elements in this composition.

Nice one Mark. You´ve pick her in an intimate moment that once more confirm how similar humans we are in their essence, no mather our circunstances are. Perfect sharp, colours, poetry... I like it, I learn from it.
