Good portrait Eric, you have conveyed a real sense of the pride of the man and the background sets him in context.
The over hanging roof coverings whilst being a key element slightly distract and could perhaps be darkened down to minimize their prominance.
1st rate.

Excellent portrait. The colors work very well with each other. Simple but interesting background. The parts of the roof is a great addition. Very well done.

Great shot Eric. The colors are really good. Again, I must say this: this picture will be a lot better if he is off-centered. I know you did this in the past so it is understandable.

Anyway, this is still a very good one because of the colors and the patterns. You have been to so many places and I envy you. (I had PM'ed you about Vietnam.)

Tremendous colors here Eric, and the scene is very harmonic. I agree a bit with the composition, and I think you really could be brave on this one and crop away many things including the strawroof wich I think the picture could manage without... I'll make a little cropshop for you ;)

Je ne savais que c'était toi Eric, je visitais un nouveau continent. J'ai d'abord eu envie de recadrer la photo autour de l'homme, mais en y regardant bien, ton cadrage est impec ! J'aime bien l'atmosphère de cette photo, sereine mais sérieuse.

Excellent portrait, Eric.
This stands out, even as a thumbnail, due to the colour contrasts of browns and white, making a very strong image. Viewing this at full size reveals the interesting background textures.
The subject is well placed in the frame, too.
Congratulations for this on being on the front page of TrekEarth!

Salut Eric,
Je continue a fouiner dans ta collection. C'est un peu comme regarder un reportage de la BBC sur les gens de la planete. Cette photo me reconforte un peu: elle est reussie, mais perso, je trouve que c'est a des annees lumieres de ce que tu fais maintenant. PLus que 10 ans et peut etre j'y arriverai!!!
