Photographer’s Note
A picture taken in Lima during the procession of 'El Siñor de los Milagros' during which people flock into the city often praying for a miracle. The siñor is a colored Christ and also much revered by Afro-Peruvians. This woman caught my eyes, deep in prayer with her beautiful white embroided scarf as the incense she carried smoked next to her.
