Photographer’s Note
Antelope canyon is well know for it red rock eroded by water and wind. At noon, during half an hour, light pass through the natural windows and offer an amazing spectacle with lightbeams. The canyon is 400 meters long, is really narrow and offer differents rooms where light pass. Be sure to get your tripod there, really usefull. Oh, and it was more easier to capture than i had imagine. A good metering at low iso with a bracketing give good results.
I had imagine to make an HDR but it was no use.
This one is the viewed because the more beautiful.
But be aware that even if there is nobody on this picture, at this time there is about 150 person on this narrow 400 meters.
To be sure to have nobody on, you need to take a photograph tour at tour operators.
If someone need information and tips, you can email me.

The streak of direct overhead sunlight breaks the red. In my view you should have under exposed by at least two stops - this would have prevented the sunlight bleaching out where it hits the ground and also darkened the red to a much more richer colour.

Hello Alexis!
Fantastic photograph!
The sunlight passing thru that hole up there in the image and reaching the ground of this wonderful place is simply amazingly wonderful! The colors and shapes of the "walls" of that place are superbly attractive and you have done such an outstanding photo job!

Hi Alexis,
I dare to say that this is my favorite image of the images you posted so far, classical, but oh so beautiful! Perfect exposure handling, perfect light, perfect colors, I love it!!!! Wonderful shot of Antelope Canyon, a shame I missed that, but your image gives me a good idea of its beauty. This one goes into my favorite box, thanks so much for sharing!
Take care

Bonjour Alexis,
Wow, indeed you captured the perfect moment. What an awesome shot! Excellent colours and light, simply perfect.
I never made it to Antelope Canyon - I think what keeps me away is that it has become too commercialized, with too many people...
Thanks for sharing, see you around

Hi, Alexis.
I've been a few times at Upper Antelope Canyon, absolutely awesome and basically impossible to photograph, with all those people walking around in such a tiny place and no real time available for long exposures... So, looking at your effort I've got to say you've done a truly great job in terms of light management. Rock textures and colors are simply brilliant, COOL SHOT! Happy New Year, my friend. I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Hello Alexis!
Wonderful, this one is really wonderful ! I was in Antelope Canyon last year and I also liked it a lot, but unfortunately we didn´t see such light phenomens like you did. Anyway, I envy you for that and also for the photo which shows this natural miracle perfectly. Technically everything is well done and I like the atmosphere of the photo a lot, too :)
Best regards and congratulations for this wonderful photo,
Jonas
