Photographer’s Note
An angler stands on the rocky coast at Almograve. The East coast of the Alentejo in Southern Portugal has some very wild stretches.

Hi Paul,
great rugged landscape. The basalt rocks are really impressive.
The tiny angler is an excellent scale provider.

Howdy Paul!
Wonderful lonely angler. Brave man. Dangerous rocks. Wonderful seascape. Good POV and capture. Original picture.

Hi Paul,
thank for your comment!
I think this picture is the opposite of the mountain, but at the same time it is similar with all these rocks...
Best regards.

You have achieved excellent depth and sharpness in the image, from the foreground rocks to the horizon. I love the inclusion of the tiny figure, which is great for scale.

Bonjour Paul,
sans la présence de ce personnage on aurait eu du mal à se faire une idée des proportions et des dimensions. Une photo très naturelle avec un horizon très bien placé.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hi Paul,
I think I don't know this area, so I have to thank you, who came from the far North (well, not so far :-), for showing it to me in a so amazing fashion. It's a dramatic scenery, it looks like a battle like the sea and the rocks. You did a great compo. The presence of the angler is like an allegory of the smallness of men compared to the fierce nature and also gives a sense of scale. He is also very well placed in the image.
It appears that the sharpness is exaggerated, but that can result from the extreme roughness of the rocks and sea.
Regards, José.
