| Sitting in the tourist town of Pokara, Nepal, this Indian snake charmer tries to work up an audience. Snake charmers are now illegal in India. They have become stealth snake charmers there, carrying the snakes and asking people to look inside. If they get an audience then they find an out of the way place to charm the snakes. I do not know if Nepal forbids them or not. Snake charmers are an Indian caste, the job passed down since time began. I do not think Nepalis have that caste. |

incredible shot gloria! i hate snakes;-)) and you got some stunning colors ;-)) nice shot!
Bonjour Gloria, less time, more people, difficult to follow our favourites but this one was shouting from the thumbnail to be opened. And everybody could see right away it was your work...
So neat, clear and tightly framed, a very good documentary picture again as you are a genius to make them that way.
Thank you mon amie and wishing you all the best on your journey!
Magnifique Gloria, j'aime bien ta façon de construire tes images en plus le portrait est beau. Amitié/jr
Thanks for the note, Gloria. I know now why we do not see too many snake-charming shots in the indian gallery. Not that we see that many sacred cows either, actually.
Let me tell you, I hate the direction one of the snakes has taken....
