Photographer’s Note
Another photo from the journey along the Karakorum Hwy b/w Kashgar, China and the Pakistan border. The landscape was so different than anything I have ever seen before in my life. It was an amazing journey.
These Uigher men were moving there livestock along the hwy and did not take much interest in what we were doing.

Hello Warren,
This is a wonderful depiction of a slice of life in the area around Karakorum. The men and livestock against the backdrop of the rugged mountain range is a timeless sight, except of course for the paved and lined modern roadway. The composition — including the diagonal lines created by the layer upon layer of the foothills and distant mountains — is first rate travel photography. Welcome to Trekearth.

Another great shot from that wonderful journey, Warren. I love the flaming mountains (though not THE Flaming Mountains, probably) on the background. The crop is perfect. Maybe the colours seem a bit too saturated imho.
I'm surprised your Kyrgyz dwelling hasn't collected more praise, that's still my favourite from your trip.

Hi Warren, it really looks like you are on the road here. Must have been a nice trip. I think you framed the "traffic" well.
Regards,
Henrik.
