Photographer’s Note

While I'm still surfing through the pictures I took in Versailles last Sunday, I decided to post this abstract approach that trasmites the mood I got as I arrived to the Park of the Castle of Versailles. 15min before this shot, it was rainning hail with strong wind and I thought it was impossible to make the visit. Luckily, it stopped suddenly and I had the pleasure to meet with Jean Charles (JCG) that was very kind to guide us through the Park, showing us the "Hameau de la Reine" in the compounds of Marie-Antoinette. The place is huge and it surprised me that it took aproximately 1h to get there from the Castle. When we arrived there, the sun was already showing up which was great.

This was taken while walking through the long avenues with the very tall trees that have perfect ortogonal shapes. It intrigued me how they could reach so high to cut so perfectly the trees both on the sides and on the top. You can see in this recent post of Jean Charles how high these paralelepiped trees can be.

WS1 - color version - couldn't decide which one to post but since today I'm daring...

WS2 - A more normal view with a runner, very common to see in this Park.
