Photographer’s Note

Here is another shot from last sunny Sunday: the pov is just 200 m (see map) away from yesterdays posting. On Seiser Alm - Alpe di Siusi there are long cross contry ski trails traversing the white landscape...

Here B&W was not a choice, there were just no other colour ... :)

Excellent! B&W works very well to tis subject. I like the high conrast here. The tree shadows add a touch and the little crss-country skier and their treek on the snow are a great addition to the composition. Bravo!

Hey Guenther!
Good composition of time and space; Getting the skiers with the double path, all highly graphic against the sun works really good here! The house contribute to the frame and balances the vacancy of the white snow on the rest of the frame. You should fix the camera details, by the way, as in the photo details you used a 190mm focal length...

I am not great fan of black and white, but this image is almost a real cartoon.

Fantastica, splendidamente composta e convertita in BN, le due tracce degli sciatori in alto ben rompono tutto il bianco della scena, le case poi sono un gioiellino immerse come sono nella neve, molti complimenti.

Über dieses Wetter kann man aber nicht meckern ... ;-)) Mich würde interessieren, wie dieses Foto in Farbe aussieht. Vielleicht als Workshop?
Das Motiv ist einfach umwerfend schön - ein Traum! Perekter - und schöner - kann man den Winter kaum darstellen.

quelle due linee in alto e quei tre puntini fanno la differenza tra una foto fatta bene e una foto fatta bene e composta altrettanto bene. La scelta del B&W (anche se dici che non c'erano colori) è stata ottima, prchè l'occhio non è distratto dai colori ma si concentra sui dettagli. Nitidezza e contrasti da sballo! Superbravissimo!

This is a stunning minimalist image. The little tableau of the chalet and trees is perfectly placed off-centre. Then we see the tiny ant-like skiers at the top. Excellent.

Great shot! I like the simplicity of this, with the snow covering everything and leaving only the house and a few skiers for us to see. This shows the expansive and wide open spaces nicely. Well done!

A very nice top down point of view, with the little house. I especially like the shadows of the saplings on the snow, and even more the silhouettes of the three skiers in the background.

Browsing your gallery, never seen this one before and i had to leave some words here because it looks great on the composition. Colours or not, it looks great in how you made this. The house, the trees and the sadows, but most of all those skiers passing by.....man that's great timing in how you captured all this.

Ciao Gunther, davvero bellissima foto
all' inizio pensavo si trattasse solo di una foto di questa casetta in mezzo alla neve...e già era bella...ma poi ho visto la pista in alto con i 3 uomini....e allora è diventata bellissima!
adoro questo tipo di foto dove le persone sono così piccole nella composizione...
questa foto mi piaec davvero molto......la metto tra i miei temi delle fav.
